Rules & Disclaimers

Festival policies, safety information, and disclaimers for the Verboort Sausage & Kraut Festival. Please review before you attend.

Festival meals may contain common allergens such as wheat (gluten), dairy, eggs, soy, and pork. Our kitchen is busy and shared equipment is used, so cross-contact is possible even when a dish is described as gluten-free or otherwise allergen-aware.

If you have a severe food allergy or special dietary need, please speak with dining hall or booth staff on site, or contact the organizers before the event so we can help you plan safely.

Festival-prepared food is made for same-day enjoyment. Please keep hot foods hot and cold foods cold, refrigerate leftovers promptly, and follow safe handling at home.

Bulk sausage sold at the Bulk Sausage area is smoked, not fully cooked — follow our cooking instructions and cook to a minimum internal temperature of 160°F before eating. Sausage from the dining hall, to-go meals, and snack bars is fully cooked.

The festival is not responsible for illness or injury resulting from improper storage, handling, or cooking of food after you leave the event.

Cooking instructions

The beer garden is open from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Guests must be 21 or older with a valid government-issued photo ID to enter and purchase alcohol.

Outside alcohol is not permitted in the beer garden or on festival grounds. Alcoholic beverages must be consumed inside the beer garden and may not be taken out of the beer garden area.

We reserve the right to refuse service or entry to anyone who appears intoxicated or who does not comply with festival rules.

Festival parking is available on and near the grounds, including accessible spaces in front of our school and church on Visitation Rd. Much of the parking is in grass fields and may become muddy in wet weather.

Parking is at your own risk. Overnight parking is not permitted. The festival and Visitation Church/School are not responsible for vehicle damage, theft, or loss of property left in vehicles.

The festival is not responsible for lost, stolen, or left-behind personal items anywhere on the grounds.

If you lose something during the event, ask a volunteer or visit the information area if one is staffed that day. After the festival, contact the organizers through our contact form with a description of the item and the area where you think it was lost.
