William "Bill" Denton Jansen, 75, a resident of the Forest Grove community passed away on April 12, 2021 at his home.

William was born on February 4, 1946 in Forest Grove. He is the oldest of three children born to Delbert and Jeanette (Wilson) Jansen. He was raised in Forest Grove and attended Forest Grove High School graduating with the Class of 1964. He attended University of Oregon and received a Bachelor's degree in Arts.

He enlisted into the US military during the Vietnam War and served in Germany.

William had worked as a courier all of his life he retired from Stewart Stiles. He enjoyed reading, solitude and his family. He was a published poet and enjoyed philosophy and Shakespeare.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his two siblings and their spouses; Janet and Randy Morris of Frisco, TX, Kent and Susan Jansen Forest Grove, a niece; Allison, two nephews; Ryne & Jake, two grand nieces and one grand nephew.
