Richard (Dick)Dennis VanDyke was born March 1, 1942, in Newberg, Oregon.  He grew up on the St. Paul Farm and attended St. Paul grade and High Schools.  He married Mary Holman.  They had one daughter Dianna Ray VanDyke.  While driving to St. Paul, a drunk driver hit Dick and Mary's car almost killing Mary.   Dick worked heavy construction equipment throughout his life.  He was diagnosed with liver cancer and died March 21, 1966, in Forest Grove, Oregon
