Ryan Dale Hammond, 26, a resident of the Beaverton community died on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at his home.

Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00PM on Friday, December 20, 2013 at the Visitation Catholic Church parish hall; 4285 NW Visitation Rd in Verboort, Oregon.

Burial will be held privately at Visitation Catholic Cemetery in Verboort.

Ryan was born on December 19, 1986 in Hillsboro, Oregon. He was the younger of two sons born to Kevin and Brenda (Hannen) Hammond. He started school at Minter Bridge Elementary but moved to Colorado with his family when he was 9 years old. The Hammonds came back to Hillsboro in 1998 and Ryan attended Jackson Elementary, Evergreen Junior High and Glencoe High School graduating with the Class of 2005. Ryan then attended University of Oregon for one year.

Ryan enjoyed the outdoors especially hiking and snowboarding. His last hiking trip was this last summer when Ryan and his brother, Erik, hiked from Timber, Oregon to Tillamook, Oregon. He enjoyed music and especially Classic Rock. He played guitar and keyboard in a garage band in High School and enjoyed participating in the battle of the bands. He played many youth sports and in High School played Lacrosse. He was known for his good sense of humor and witty sarcasm. He was well loved and made many friends wherever he went.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather; Alan Dale Hannen.

Survivors include his parents; Kevin and Brenda of Beaverton, a brother and his fiancée; Erik M. Hammond and Ericka Walden both of Beaverton, Oregon, his grandparents; Richard and Pat Hammond of Verboort, Oregon, Joyce and Les Swanson of Crooked River, Oregon, seven aunts, six uncles and a niece; Jayden Walden.
