Obituary

RANDALL ERNEST “RANDY” KRIEGER was born April 21, 1953 in Hillsboro, Oregon, the son of the late Ernest Joseph Krieger and Phyllis Rose (Hulsman) Krieger. He was raised in the Verboort community and attended Visitation School and Banks High School, having been a graduate of the Banks High School Class of 1971.

Following his graduation, he worked for Kit Manufacturing Company and from 1975 to 1980 he worked for Stash Tea in Portland, Oregon. After which, Randy worked as a truck driver for Karban Rock and Baker Rock for several years. He later owned and operated KRK Trucking Company, until he retired in 2007, due to ill health.

Among his special interests he enjoyed fishing, sightseeing and riding motorcycles. He also liked attending drag races and the Banks Demolition Derby. Randy was very mechanical and enjoyed his old Ford Ranchero, helping others in need, and caring for his dog, “Peanut”.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Phyllis Krieger.

Survivors include his three siblings, Larry Krieger and his wife, Janie, of Gaston, Oregon; Marlea Barnes, of Lake Oswego, Oregon; and Bill Krieger, of McMinnville, Oregon.

Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, including Rhonda Mathiesen, of Hillsboro, Oregon; Tanya and Daron Wall, of Salem, Oregon; Jessica and Robert Queener; and Jami and Ethan Vitto, all of Grants Pass, Oregon; and a large extended family.

The family suggests that remembrances may be made to the Salvation Army, Tualatin Valley Citadel, 351 S.E. Oak Street, Hillsboro, Oregon 97123 or to the American Heart Association, Oregon Affiliate, Inc., 1200 N.W. Naito Parkway, #220, Portland, Oregon 97209, in his memory.
