Louie was born on November 12, 1993, in Tualatin, OR. He is one of four children born to Ronald Joseph and Mary Danielle (Landauer) Hertel. He lived in Hillsboro until he turned 7 then moved with his family to Puyallup, WA. There he attended All Saints Grade School thru the eighth grade and Junior High School at Kalles JR High. Louie has been attending Puyallup High School, having been a junior this year and would have graduated with the Class of 2012.
Among his interest he enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He loved farming and enjoyed spending his summer at his cousin's farm in Verboort. Louie collected pocketknives, loved reading westerns and was in his church choir and had served as an altar server.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather: Joseph Hertel.
Survivors include his parents: Ron and Mary Hertel of the family home in Puyallup, WA, three sisters: Briana Hertel (23), Abigail Hertel (21) of Helena, MT, and Mikaela Hertel (18). He is also survived by his grandparents: Audrey Hertel of Roy, OR Rudy and Margaret Landauer of Verboort, OR, 11 Aunts, and 12 Uncles, honorary grandparents: Joan Stewart and Jerry and Faye Owings all of Puyallup, WA, and many, many cousins.
